Stop pressing the snooze button… It’s time to Wake Up!

I don’t know about you... but it feels like it has been 200 years... oops, I meant 2 years of winter. I feel sleepier in the winter and want to hibernate a bit and honestly, that’s what this COVID time has felt like.

Also, in the Pacific Northwest, we have had darker days than ever, which is making everyone groggy here. And on social media, we have people saying that we should just sleep through 2022 because it is already on the rocks. What?? We are only in January people!

I don’t know about you, but I am not the Titanic and I am not going down. Are you?

This can be a year where you take one goal and chip away step by step. You can write that book, take that cooking class, begin that marathon training, start a garden, lose 1 pound a month… just stop pressing the snooze button. You are alive and every damn day is precious.

That doesn’t mean it isn’t going to be hard. Getting out of bed in the middle of dark winter is hard. Love on yourself, get good rest, be compassionate towards your feelings… BUT wake up. Get out of the 2020 bed and wake up to 2022.
